Nestled in beautiful Fair Haven, Vermont we are about 45 minutes away from major ski resorts. Right around the corner from The Marble Mansion Inn is the beautiful campus of Castleton University. Additionally we are surrounded by Vermont’s natural beauty and the green mountains. Lake Bomoseen is just a short drive away and features fishing, boating, kayaking and camping. It is one of the local favorite vacation spots during the summer.
Special and Discounts
Our inn already has the most competitive pricing in the area; however, as veterans ourselves we will extend a 10% discount to anyone presenting a current military ID-card or veteran’s association membership card at check-in. (American Legion, DAV, VFW, etc.)
CMOH recipients stay for free.
Much warmer temperatures this morning with a late guest breakfast time of 9:30 am for one couple. Our contractor was over yesterday and today to fix the roof over the back steps and porch. All the snow and ice had caused the roof to partially collapse causing an icy mess on the back stairs. There will be more work done on the roof in nicer weather. Chelsea & Savannah did short work of flipping one guest room. Later Chelsea helped take down the bare office tree.
This month we are celebrating the 16th anniversary for our Bed & Breakfast. We have perfected our breakfasts over the years and the most loved breakfast menu item is our maple bacon. We also get a lot of compliments on our Gevalia coffee and sour cream scones. Our Chef prepares many different egg dishes, scones and muffins. We also make our own waffle batter served with pure Vermont maple syrup.
Solid grey skies with warmer temperatures. First breakfast was at 8:30 am. Pastry were poppy seed lemon scones with fresh lemon curd. One couple decided not to have breakfast. Guest has already checked out and headed for West Haven to pick up a piece of furniture. Remember to vote today. The 1% option tax is on the ballot again. Our residents don't need another tax to pay.
